Easy Life

Leicester five-piece Easy Life was born from the school days of singer Murray and bassist/sax player Sam, where they bonded over a shared love of early hip-hop, funk and jazz. They soon started to write music, having enlisted other musicians from the local scene, and brilliantly mixed these influences with such British staples as indie, punk, and the mundanity of rainy days in the Midlands. In between shifts at TK Maxx, clinical trials and selling potatoes, they pulled together their debut single, ‘Pockets’, whose catchy groove is contrasted by a timely message: that life isn’t all about material wealth and modern vices. We sure agree.
