HOUSE FESTIVAL RULES
House Festival is operated by Soho House UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under registration number 02864389 (“Soho House,” “we,” “us” and/or “our”). Our registered address is 72-74 Dean Street, London W1D 35G.
By purchasing a ticket for House Festival and/ or attending the House Festival event at Kenwood House on 4th July 2019, you agree to be bound to the House Festival terms and conditions set out below (the “House Festival Rules”). Please read them carefully as these House Festival Rules safeguard yours and the other guests’ and attendees’ use and enjoyment of House Festival.
1. HOUSE FESTIVAL ADMISSION
Entry to House Festival is at the sole discretion of Soho House and is strictly subject to capacity and safety controls of the House Festival staff and contractors. Soho House reserves the right to search the property of all festival attendees upon entry to the site. Soho House may refuse admission to or eject any person from the venue who refuses to be searched by a police officer or a steward.
Soho House also reserves the right to refuse entry or to remove any persons from House Festival for any reason including anyone who it believes might be a risk to the safety of, or who may affect the enjoyment of others, or the running of House Festival, or anyone who fails to comply with the instructions of our staff, stewards or anyone working at House Festival.
Please note, you will not be permitted to bring any picnic furniture, fireworks, laser pens, smoke canisters, flags, poles or other similar articles into House Festival. Any such articles will be confiscated by the House Festival staff at the entrance and you may be refused entry.
Your House Festival tickets will be sent electronically to you at the email address you provided during the booking process and will be attached to the email in PDF format. The PDF attachment will contain one page for each ticket purchased.
If you have successfully placed an order for House Festival tickets and require help with your booking or have any other House Festival ticket queries, please contact email@example.com. You will not be allowed to enter House Festival without a valid ticket on the day.
Please note that each House Festival ticket is unique and ticket(s) can be traced back to the ticket holder. Ticket holders are strictly forbidden to resell or to transfer their ticket(s) to others (including by way of a competition or promotion) and any tickets purchased outside of our official exclusive ticket seller, SEE Tickets, will become voidable and will not be accepted by Soho House. Any ticket holder of a re-sold or transferred or invalid ticket may be refused entry to or ejected from House Festival.
All House Festival ticket refunds are at the discretion of Soho House and refund requests will not be accepted after the 10th June 2019. If you do want to request a refund, please submit your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
3. LINE-UP CHANGES
Please note that all House Festival line-up times, whether shown on your ticket, the House Festival website, or on social media, or in any House Festival magazine or on any other sign or location at the festival itself are approximate only.
All House Festival acts, performers and artists are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice and may change due to circumstances outside of our control. No ticket refunds (including any refunds for the booking fee charge) will be issued by Soho House to anyone in the event of line-up or schedule changes.
House Festival is an outdoor event. Please come prepared for inclement weather. The Festival will go ahead come rain or shine and Soho House will not issue refunds to any ticket holder as a result of inclement weather.
Children must be 12 years or older to attend House Festival and will need to purchase an adult ticket in order to attend. Any children under 12 will not be permitted to enter the House Festival site and any child who attends who is under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult who is over 18 years old. Please remember that if you do bring children to House Festival, you are responsible for them at all times. Please ensure they are not left unattended at any time.
6. FILMING AND PHOTOGRAPHY
By attending House Festival you consent to being in any interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording of the event and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on our websites, social media, or any other purpose as determined by Soho House and its affiliates and representatives.
Soho House may use these images, photos and/or videos to promote similar House Festival events in the future, to highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of Soho House on social media or in other publications.
You release Soho House, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or or sound recordings (“Materials”) and, you waive all rights you may have to inspect or approve such content along with any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, web casting, televising, or other publication of these Materials, regardless of the purpose.
7. CAMERAS/RECORDING DEVICES
No professional cameras, video recorders or other professional audio-visual recording devices or equipment, whether live-streaming or otherwise and whether on a mobile phone or other medium may be brought to House Festival (“Professional Recording Equipment”) without Soho House’s prior written consent. Soho House reserves the right to take possession of and confiscate any Professional Recording Equipment or images used or taken using Professional Recording Equipment or other recorded images used or taken while on the festival site, which it has not agreed to in advance.
8. ILLEGAL DRUGS/SUBSTANCES/ITEMS
No House Festival attendee shall purchase, use, ingest, possess, sell or otherwise distribute illegal drugs or other substances or attempt to do any of the same from any other guest or attendee or shall ask any House Festival staff for illegal drugs or other substances while on the festival site or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any of the actions above prove true, the relevant person will be removed from House Festival immediately.
No House Festival attendee shall purchase, sell, use or possess any object which is illegal or offensive while on the House Festival premises or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any such objects are found, the item will be confiscated, the relevant person will be removed from the festival site immediately and depending on the circumstances we may have to call the police or relevant authorities.
9. FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Please refrain from bringing any outside food or beverages to House Festival, unless medically necessary.
The Soho House Fair use policy applies to consumption of food and drink at the festival and Soho House reserves the right to refuse to supply any person. No alcohol shall be served to persons less than 18 years of age. Soho House also reserves the right to ask any House Festival attendee to show a valid ID in order to obtain alcohol if the House Festival staff believes that they appear to be under the age of 25.
10. ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES
We want all our House Festival attendees to relax and enjoy the activities and facilities available at our event in safety. Please be aware that the House Festival site is set in open country with lakes and other natural features that can be hazardous.
We ask that all attendees please observe the House Festival Rules and any signs published or displayed at the site at and to take reasonable precautions when travelling around the grounds or using the facilities at House Festival.
If anyone has an accident or suffers any injury at, or in the vicinity of, the House Festival site, please report this as soon as possible to a member of staff and in any event within 24 hours of the incident. As well as wanting to check on a member, attendee or guest’s well-being, this information is needed in order to help us comply with our health and safety obligations and for insurance purposes.
Please note that strobe lighting may be in use at House Festival. Please also be aware that there will be loud live music performances throughout the event and that exposure to loud music can cause injury to your hearing.
11. ENTERING/LEAVING HOUSE FESTIVAL
All House Festival attendees and guests are asked to respect our nearby residents by being quiet when entering or leaving the festival site or while in the surrounding area.
No animals will be allowed at House Festival except for legally recognised and certified assistance dogs. Please let us know in advance at email@example.com if you need to bring an assistance dog so we can make reasonable adjustments for you at the festival.
13. SMOKING POLICY
All attendees, members and their guests are obligated to abide by House Festival’s smoking policy then in effect and to all applicable no-smoking governmental laws, rules and regulations. No smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) is allowed inside the House Festival tents at any time. Soho House reserves the right to prohibit or limit smoking in any area of the House Festival site at any time at its sole and absolute discretion.
14. SOHO HOUSE TRADEMARK RIGHTS
No House Festival attendee shall use the names, logos, colours, trademarks, service marks, photographs, trade dress, or other identifying features of Soho House, House Festival and its affiliates (the “Soho House Marks”) without obtaining the specific prior written approval of Soho House as to the specific use.
You hereby expressly recognise that the Soho House Marks are the valid, unique and exclusive property of Soho House, its parent, affiliates and/or subsidiaries. All House Festival attendees may not produce, use or create, or authorise others to produce, use or create, the Soho House Marks for any purpose whatsoever, including, but not limited to, in any communications, marketing, advertising or other promotional materials (including, but not limited to, brochures, flyers, invitations, e-mail messages, etc.) that utilize the Soho House Marks without Soho House’s prior written consent.
15. LIABILITY OF SOHO HOUSE
All items brought to House Festival are brought and left entirely at the risk of the attendee. Soho House, its servants and/or agents shall not be liable to any member or guest for any loss, injury or damage or suffered by them or their property (including any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages, and any damages for loss of profits, savings, goodwill or other intangible losses, regardless of whether Soho House had been advised of or could have foreseen the possibility of such damages) howsoever caused as a result of attending House Festival, save in respect of death or personal injury to a member or guest to the extent caused by the negligence of Soho House, its servants and/or agents. This is not intended to affect any mandatory rights which you may have under local law that we cannot legally restrict or exclude.
In the event of any breach of any of these House Festival Rules, Soho House reserves the right to cancel the attendee’s ticket and /or remove them from House Festival and retain any money paid for it.
16. INTERPRETATION OF THE HOUSE FESTIVAL RULES
These rules shall be governed and construed in accordance with English law and each House Festival attendee agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
17. AMENDMENTS TO THE HOUSE FESTIVAL RULES
Soho House may change these House Festival Rules from time to time, by displaying notification of the change on www.housefestival.com.
